Parasolids are closely related to the parapluvids. They are often seen together. In the case of species like the light-bearing water umbrella spider, it is not even clear whether they belong to the parasolids or the parapluvids. Parasol spiders have been spotted in Sint-Niklaas, Waasmunster, Antwerpen, Ranst and Oostende.
