Arachnea parapluviosis papyreum

Arachnea parapluviosis papyreum, the common papery umbrella spider, was the first of its order to be discovered. It was encountered by his doctorship von Leverkühn in the desecrated Saint Dominic’s Church in Antwerp.  Its red coloration strongly resembles that of Arachnea parapluviosis louisiensis, a member of the Parasolids order. It also shares a gruesome fate: it too was wiped from the face of the earth by the human species.  Unlike the case of the Wieske’s umbrella spider, however, the remains were recovered and preserved for posterity — serving as a lasting reminder of humanity’s narrow-mindedness.
